Hi Elizabeth,

My name’s Travis, I usually work in the Paint Shop, but I’m temporarily standing in for Security Chief Tackett until we find a replacement. Sorry for the caps in the headline, but I’ve just been told that there’s a pretty sizeable concern that you should be aware of.

Apparently, (and again, I stress that I am frankly startlingly new to this job) there’s been some sort of networking error, and in extremely rare circumstances your password might appear in plain text on the outward facing site.

When they told me about this, they really stressed the words “extremely rare circumstances” but at the same time there was a look in their eyes that made me decide to message you as quickly as possible.

Of course, even if they were to get your password (which they won’t) and could work out that it’s a password (which they won’t), they’d somehow have to access Mayflower, which I think is impossible. I don’t really know how that stuff works, but you might want to contact Liaisons just in case.

I realise this isn’t exactly convenient at this point, but I’ve had to disable your capacity to send messages for the time being. When you’ve got a moment, come and see me and I’ll restore it.

In any case, change your password! I think! I have had precisely zero security training!
